Roger helps clients balance commercial outcomes with tikanga and strategic direction.
Roger Drummond helps Iwi, other Māori entities, businesses and organisations navigate complex legal, commercial and governance matters. He is a recognised specialist in Māori economic development and provides strategic advice on structuring, investment, governance, compliance and intergenerational planning.
He advises on a wide range of commercial matters, including business structuring, shareholder agreements, incorporated societies and public sector advice.
Roger has over 40 years of legal experience. He spent 33 years at Bell Gully, where he advised on major banking and capital markets transactions and played a leading role in establishing the firm’s Māori Services Group. He holds several directorships and contributes to governance, strategy and community leadership across a range of sectors.
Outside of work, Roger enjoys rugby, gardening and travelling. He values time with his wife Linda and enjoys seeing their children and grandchildren whenever possible. With family based in both New Zealand and the United States, he makes the most of every opportunity to stay connected.
