    Rhys helps clients build strong commercial foundations for long-term success.

    Rhys Williams helps businesses, developers and organisations navigate commercial transactions, manage legal risk and achieve strategic outcomes. He advises on business acquisitions and structuring, franchising, leasing, property development and financing, with experience acting for supermarket owners and property developers.

    With a background in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and regulatory enforcement in both New Zealand and the UK, Rhys brings commercial insight and a pragmatic, solution-focused approach.  His clients range from sole traders to listed companies, and national franchise operators.


    Rhys began his legal career at Anderson Lloyd and holds degrees in law and economics from the University of Otago.


    Rhys is a trustee of Te Awakairangi Health Network, a primary health organisation. He is also qualified wine professional with experience in the UK wine trade.


    Outside of work, he enjoys baseball, skiing and making the most of family time with his young kids.
