    Molly Cardno helps people challenge ACC decisions and navigate complex claims. She specialises in ACC disputes, medico-legal issues and personal injury advocacy. Her work includes representing and advising clients in their disputes with ACC and civil litigation more broadly, helping clients to secure cover, treatment, and entitlements.

    Molly understands how overwhelming the ACC system can be. Clients value her calm, focused approach and the care she brings to every case. She takes the time to build trust, explain each step in plain language and offer support through what can be some of the most stressful and emotional times in a person’s life.

    Before joining Gibson Sheat, Molly worked for nearly four years in a criminal defence chambers, assisting on complex and high-profile cases. This experience sharpened her legal instincts and her ability to support people through difficult legal challenges.

    Molly holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, with a minor in Criminology, from Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. She completed her Professional Legal Studies through the New Zealand College of Law and was admitted to the bar in June 2025.

    Outside of work, Molly enjoys sketching portraits and has previously worked as a commissioned artist. She also coaches equestrian sport, having competed at a national level for many years.
