Jemma de Vries

Jemma de Vries is one of those people who puts you instantly at ease. A natural listener with a kind heart, she helps clients through some of life’s most sensitive legal matters with quiet confidence and genuine care.

She is part of our Life Planning, Estates and Senior Law team, supporting older New Zealanders and their families with wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney (EPAs), estate administration, retirement village agreements (occupation right agreements) and residential care subsidy applications. Her clients often come to her during difficult times, and she guides them with patience, kindness, and care.

Clients describe Jemma as warm, thoughtful and trustworthy. She makes complex processes feel manageable and brings a steady, reassuring presence to every conversation.

Originally from Perth, Jemma studied law in Western Australia, following in her father’s footsteps. After early experience in courtrooms and litigation, she found her calling in elder law, where compassion and clarity make a lasting difference.

Outside of work, Jemma treasures time with her husband and young daughter and is an active member of her local church community.
