    Dahl Calder is a litigation and dispute resolution specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in unit title, property, commercial, trust, and estate disputes. He represents clients across courts, tribunals, and negotiation settings, offering clear advice and confident advocacy to help them resolve challenges and move forward.

    He is particularly experienced in body corporate and unit title disputes, regularly advising on maintenance and repair issues, remediation projects, governance, enforcement of rules, and levy recovery. Dahl developed a strong foundation in property law during his time at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).

    Dahl acts on complex commercial matters including contract disputes, director and shareholder disputes, debt recovery, business and personal insolvency, and commercial lease disputes.

    He also has extensive experience advising clients on complex trust and estate disputes, where Dahl regularly assists individuals, families, trustees, and beneficiaries in navigating high-stakes and emotionally sensitive matters.

    Dahl began his legal career in a small general practice law firm in Wellington and was admitted to the bar in 2006 after completing his LLB at Victoria University of Wellington.

    Outside the courtroom, Dahl is passionate about food and wine and enjoys exploring New Zealand’s culinary scene, is a keen sailor, and likes to keep fit and active.
