    Dahl Calder is a litigation specialist with over 15 years of experience in commercial, property, employment, and family disputes. He represents clients across courts, tribunals, and negotiation settings, offering clear advice and confident advocacy to help them resolve challenges and move forward.

    Dahl acts on complex commercial matters including contract disputes, shareholder conflicts, debt recovery, business insolvency and liquidation. He also advises on construction and trade debt claims, helping clients secure timely resolutions and minimise financial risk.

    He is particularly experienced in body corporate and unit title disputes, regularly advising on enforcement of rules, levy recovery, remediation projects and cross-lease issues. Dahl developed a strong foundation in property law during his time at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), where he specialised in Land Transfer Act matters and electronic document registration. This experience continues to inform his strategic approach to complex disputes.

    Dahl began his legal career at John Dean Law Office and was admitted to the bar in 2006 after completing his LLB at Victoria University of Wellington. 

    Outside the courtroom, Dahl is a qualified chef and keen sailor. He is a member of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club and enjoys exploring Wellington’s coastline and culinary scene.
